Canaan Dog

The Canaan dog is indigenous to Israel. While it’s not the largest beast in the wild, it is known to fend off any attacker no matter their size.

And not only are they fierce, they’re some of the oldest recorded in history, dating back to the 5^th century BC time of the Persians. According to tradition, when the Israelites were sent into exile in the 8^th century, their guard dogs reverted to the wild. Today, we know them as Canaan dogs.
