We will venture north to the Golan region to explore Tel Dan, which has the world’s oldest man made arch, Abrahams Gate. Then to Caesarea Philippi, a pagan stronghold where Jesus boldly declared “on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it!” We will have a very special opportunity next at Yardenit with the option to be baptized in the Jordan River.

After, is the City of David, David left his city of Hebron, and went up to Jerusalem in order to unite Israel around one capital city. This is where he settled. The location where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found is Qumran, these confirmed the legitimacy of the Scriptures we read today. Finally, we get to “swim” in the lowest body of water on the surface of Earth, the Dead Sea. Also one of the saltiest, it has 10 times the amount of salt that oceans do.

Airport Transfers & Transportation
Arrival in Israel
Group transportation to the first hotel, Metropolitan Tel Aviv, will be provided with a departure from the airport around 6:00 PM.
If you arrive earlier or later than this time, no problem at all, taxis are readily available for a quick ride to the hotel. Airport taxis are regulated by the airport authority, making them safe and fairly priced. You may also use Gett Taxi, Israel’s primary ride-sharing app, available via mobile download or airport kiosks.
Departure from Israel
On October 16, a group transfer will depart early in the morning from our final hotel, Dan Jerusalem, for flights departing 5:30 AM or later.
If your flight departs earlier or significantly later, transportation can easily be arranged by taxi or ride-share, with assistance from the hotel front desk or our local guide.
Passport Requirements
Its is very important that your passport does not expire six months before our return date. You will be denied entry into Israel if your passport expires earlier than this date.
We will need your passport information before departure, you can share your passport details on the registration site WeTravel during booking or after. You can also email it to us info@unchartedadventures.co
If your passport expires 6 months before we return from our trip, you will need to apply immediately for a passport renewal. Please click here for directions on how to renew your passport. NOTE: Routine renewal processing can take 12 weeks. Expedited (more expensive) is more like a 6 week turnaround.
If you do not have a valid passport, click here to apply for one.
Be aware, if you are traveling with us to Israel, customs may take longer if your passport contains stamps from Muslim-majority countries.
Solo Travelers
We welcome solo travelers on all our trips! However, the advertised trip cost reflects a cost per person that assumes the person will share a room with another traveler (“double occupancy.”) We will do our best to pair you with another solo traveler (of the same gender) who also desires a roommate. It has worked out well for many people on our trips. If, however, we are unable to assign a roommate, you should anticipate that 1-2 months before trip departure, you will receive an additional invoice of $1,442 from Uncharted Adventures to cover to costs of having a private room (“single supplement”) at all hotels during the trip.
Weather
Weather in Israel (October 7–16)
During mid-October, average daytime highs in Israel range from 75–82°F, with evening temperatures around 60–68°F. This time of year is considered warm, dry, and very comfortable, with minimal humidity and a low chance of rain. Weather can vary by region, with warmer temperatures in the southern desert areas and slightly cooler conditions in the Galilee (north).

Is Israel safe?
Over the past two years, Israel has faced significant challenges due to ongoing conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran. While the region has experienced difficult times, we remain hopeful for peace and are grateful by emerging signs of progress in both areas. We are trusting that this will continue.
At Uncharted, the safety and well-being of our team members remain our highest priority. Our comprehensive and proactive safety plans ensure our teams are well-protected at all times.
To uphold this commitment, we are sharing our precautionary safeguards. If any one of these measures is triggered within a week of our scheduled departure, the trip will be postponed. These safeguards allow us to make well-informed decisions based on reliable information from trusted authorities. The three key safeguards include:
- A “Do Not Travel” advisory for Israel issued by the U.S. Department of State.
- A “Do Not Travel” warning issued by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.
- Guidance from our trusted partners, including colleagues within the Israeli Defense Forces, advising against travel.
We have similar safety protocols in place for our day to day travels within Israel as well, relying on current information from local agencies.
These layers of precaution reflect our commitment to operating responsibly and ensuring the highest standards of safety for our teams. We are prepared and working closely with all relevant authorities to make decisions grounded in expertise and care. We pray for peace in Israel soon and ask that you join us in this too!
Passport Requirements
All participants must have a valid passport that will expire no sooner than six months past their scheduled date of return. You must always carry your passport on your person. Be aware, if you are traveling with us to Israel customs may take longer if your passport contains stamps from Muslim majority countries.
Does Israel require a Visa?
Israel now requires all visitors to apply for an electronic visa or ETA-IL. It is a pre-requirement to receive this visa to visit. Uncharted will send communication on the quick process to obtain one 3 months before departure.
The visa has a $7.00 application fee. You are welcome to apply for one early and submit the application [here].
How much personal money should I bring?
Almost all shops and stores in both Israel accept Credit Cards. However, if you prefer to bring cash, we recommend bringing around $250 per person or $500 per couple. This will be more than enough for lunches and to buy souvenirs for yourself and those back at home.

Can I use my phone overseas?
Yes, however there will be additional cost for international calls and data usage. The simplest way to use your phone overseas is to add an international travel pass. Each carrier’s rules are different, so check with your provider. An option to avoid paying for international service is to turn your phones data and cellular network off and communicate by Wifi. The bus is equipped with wifi and all hotels have it as well.
What kind of power adapter will I need?
Israel does not use the same plug sockets that we do in the U.S. Thankfully most devices do not require a power converter, they do however need an adapter to fit the socket. The adapter needed for Israel is Type-C. You can also use a “Universal Adapter” that will work fine. *Note: If you have multiple devices you will be charging at the hotel such as cell phones, digital watch, camera, etc. it may be worth getting a portable power strip to plug all of your devices into.
