Travel to the shore of the Sea of Galilee to visit Magdala, a recent archaeological discovery. Magdala is a crossroads of Jewish and Christian history and hometown of Mary Magdalene. After lunch we arrive at Capernaum, an important town in the time of Christ where He did many miracles. It’s also an important city for the fishing community of Galilee and is located on the international highway of the time known as The Via Maris. Our day concludes with a baptism service where the Sea of Galilee merges with the Jordan River.

Day 4 | Mar 24: Experiencing Jesus at the Sea of Galilee

Our third day of exploring begins on to the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus’ most famous sermon from Matthew 5 took place. Next, we will travel to the Golan Heights to overlook Syria and Jordan. We will get an inspiring update from our Syrian and Jordanian Nationals. We conclude our day at the Jesus boat museum. In 1986, the hull of a boat old enough to have been on the water in the time of Christ was discovered and restored. Sea of Galilee – Ramot Resort

Day 5 | Mar 25: Ancient Samaria/Today’s West Bank

We say goodbye to the Sea of Galilee in the morning and drive into the West Bank to the town of Burqin and the Church of the Ten Lepers. This is the location where Jesus healed the ten men in Luke 17:11-13 and only one came back to thank Him. Travel to Mt. Gerizim, Mt. Ebal, and the Synagogue of the Samaritans. Mt. Gerizim and Mt. Ebal are the locations where God pronounced His blessing and curses on the Jewish people written in the book of Deuteronomy. We then visit Shiloh, the first worship site for Israelites prior to Solomon’s temple in Jerusalem. The Tabernacle was stationary in Shiloh for 440 years. After dinner inside the Old City of Jerusalem, we’ll have the incredible opportunity to visit the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem – Inbal

Day 6 | Mar 26: Jerusalem

We will visit the Temple Mount. This is where Judaism, Islam, and Christianity clash. It is the site of where the Third Temple will be located. Next, we head to the Mount of Olives which offers an unparalleled view of the Old City of Jerusalem. This is the location where Jesus wept over the city as chose to give His life as the Lamb of God. As we walk through Jerusalem on the “Way of Suffering” also known as the Via Dolorosa we’ll stop at the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus healed a paralytic man in John 5. As we make our way to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, we’ll stay on the modern-day processional route marking where Jesus carried the cross. At the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, we see the traditional site where Christ was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead!

Jerusalem – Inbal

Day 7 | Mar 27: Elah Valley | Bethlehem | Free Time

We will start the day at the Valley of Elah, it is best known as the place where the Israelites encamped when David fought Goliath. Next, we will visit the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem. Next, free time will be given to explore the Old City and shop.

Jerusalem – Inbal

Day 8 | Mar 28: The Dead Sea

Our Judean Desert Day begins as we leave Jerusalem and travel to the Dead Sea. Our first stop is Masada, a rock plateau mentioned in the Old Testament several times. This famous location is where Jewish rebels committed mass suicide to prevent capture from the Romans in 74 A.D. We will travel north to Ein Gedi, an oasis, and a place of refuge for David as he fled from an angry King Saul. From here we will visit Qumran where an ancient settlement existed in the time of Christ. This is the location where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1947 by a Bedouin shepherd. Our last stop will be the Dead Sea itself. Here we visit the lowest spot on earth and have the opportunity to float in the saltiest body of water in the world.

Jerusalem – Inbal

Day 9 | Mar 29: Tunnels & Garden Tomb

On our last full day together in Jerusalem we begin by visiting the ancient Rabbi Tunnels. These tunnels allow us to see the foundation of the Solomon’s Temple, not visible above ground. After, we will travel to Hezekiah’s Tunnel which is located underneath the City of David. The tunnel was carved underground by order of King Hezekiah to prepare Jerusalem for a siege by the Assyrians. Bring water shoes and a headlamp! Finally, we will visit the Garden Tomb, a beautiful garden that many Bible teachers believe is the actual location for the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. What a joy it will be to conclude our pilgrimage with the Lord’s Supper and Worship at the Garden Tomb. Return to the hotel to freshen up for a dinner in the desert, we will take a 4×4 ride to an exclusive location for a private dinner with a 5-star chef. (Hill of the scapegoat)
